Ingredients 

Apple Roses

  • 2red apples
  • 2tbsplemon juice
  • 4tbspunsalted buttermelted
  • 4tbspbrown sugar

Cookie Dough

  • 5tbspunsalted buttersoftened
  • 1/4cupbrown sugar
  • 1egg yolkfrom a large egg
  • 1/2cup+ 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • pinchof salt
  • cupmini chocolate chips
  • powdered sugarfor serving, optional

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Set aside a 24-cup mini muffin tray that has been greased.
  • In a mixing dish, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Stir in the egg yolk.
  • Mix in the flour and salt until thoroughly blended, then add the small chocolate chips. Chill the dish in the refrigerator.
  • Slices are 8 inches thick.

    Spread the apples out on a work surface. Cut them in half and remove the cores and seeds with a sharp paring knife. Then, lying flat, cut into 1

  • Mix apple slices and lemon juice in a big microwaveable bowl.
  • Brown sugar and melted butter should be combined in a small bowl. Then mix in the apple slices to coat.
  • Microwave for 2 minutes, or until the apple slices are soft. Remove any accumulated liquid.
  • Arrange 4-5 apple slices in a row, about an inch apart. Begin by carefully rolling the slices together to form a rose, beginning with one end. Rep for a total of 23 flowers.
  • Fill each muffin cup halfway with cookie dough, pushing down halfway with a melon baller or your thumb.
  • Then, in the middle of each cookie, add a rose.
  • 9-12 minutes, or until the cookie cups are golden.
  • Allow them cool at room temperature in the muffin pan (Be careful to allow these to cool fully). Serve with powdered sugar and enjoy!

Notes

  • For best results, use homemade cookie dough rather than store-bought in this recipe.
